        Looking up for example xixc.com returns the following message in the More about this domain function:
        Having trouble contacting the server. Some WHOIS operators use quotas to manage traffic. Please try again in a few minutes.

        Retry … get the same results

        Need functionality to change whois servers. Also, the WhoIs database format has changed recently. I use a desktop app for whois searches called SmartWhois. Might give you some ideas to implement.
